University Faculty Award for Undergraduate Research Call for Nominations
The 14th annual Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020 in the Student Center. As part of the preparation for this exciting event, the GSURC Advisory Board is currently soliciting nominations for the Faculty Award for Undergraduate Research. To recognize the diversity of faculty who go above and beyond in their commitment to undergraduate research and scholarship, we will award three outstanding faculty members at the GSURC 2020 Awards ceremony. Each of the three recipients will receive a $300 honorarium, commemorative plaque, and serve as a speaker for GSURC 2020.
The successful nominees for the Faculty Award for Undergraduate Research must be permanent, full-time Georgia State faculty members with a demonstrated commitment to mentoring and supporting undergraduate students in any of the following types of research activities:
- Faculty mentored project or laboratory-based research.
- Faculty mentored creative projects and research in fine arts and the humanities.
- Faculty mentored research in policy, entrepreneurship, education, and social sciences.
Nominations may come from any member of the Georgia State community. Nominations will be accepted through February 3, 2020.
